Plant and Nature-Based Wellness for the
Mind, Body and Spirit
Learn how to connect with and integrate plants into your life. Embrace nature.
Our face-paced and technology-driven society has forced us away from our genealogical bond with the natural world. Finding a way to incorporate plants - and for that matter, the outdoors - can be difficult in our daily lives, which are often hectic with appointments, work, school, and personal adversities such as illness, chronic pain, addiction, and mental health concerns.
Reconnect with nature in non-confrontational therapeutic environments, offered in both group and individual formats.
At Katydid, our focus is on giving you a natural, plant-based outlet with which to inwardly (and outwardly!) address ongoing personal struggles, ultimately reducing stress and allowing you to rekindle your inherent bond with the natural world around you.
What is Horticultural Therapy?
Horticultural therapy, much like music or art therapy, is a recreational healing modality intended to connect individuals to nature and plants in a therapeutic setting. Individuals are encouraged towards achieving a recognizable goal through the use of both passive and active engagement while learning how to incorporate mindfulness strategies into their daily lives. Activities often involve gardening, crafting, and designing arrangements.
